Permanent Supportive Housing

Our Permanent Supportive Housing programs are for chronically homeless individuals and are located in multiple locations throughout Houston.  They provide onsite substance abuse case management, intensive life-skills, and mental health counseling. Program participants are provided with resources that focus on enhancing their abilities to exit homelessness and to remain self-sufficient. Permanent supportive housing is a HUD funded program operated by DiscoverGroupHarmony House, Inc.

The program currently has twenty apartments for housing and provides Life Skills Groups, Depression and Bipolar Support Groups, Employment, Job Readiness and Recovery Groups. Additionally Harmony House provides Individual Counseling sessions and various life skills directional tools. Harmony House staff includes but is not limited to Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselors, a Master level counselor, Board Certified Community Health Workers, and an Education Specialist, who work collaboratively with participants to develop tailored service plans for optimal self sufficiency. Clients may remain in the program as long as necessary with no maximum time limit.  The goal is to provide support and skills that help sustain stable employment/income, housing, and life skills.
